About Me

What about Beachy Mimi? Just a woman, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, trying to walk in God's perfect will. I fail miserably, but I get up, dust off and keep on trying. I love to travel and at this point in my life, AARP, I plan to do lots of it. My dream is to travel via BIG RV all over the USA with a partner that loves to travel, too. Of course, I love to fly and would be willing to travel by air. Cruises are nice, and my favorite has been Alaska.
I would have to say my greatest accomplishment is motherhood and I love being a Mom.
If the traveling doesn't work out, I'll probably just be a sassy old lady with cats.
Nevertheless,I plan to be on a NEVERENDING VACATION everyday of my life, even if it is only in my mind

The Pass It Forward (PIF) Movement www.aunitedworld.org is just one of many We, The World (501 (c) (3) nonprofit programs. The mission of We, The World (WTW) is to maximize social change - globally. We are working to awaken a spirit of caring and involvement in the public so that millions of people begin to see themselves as part of one global interdependent community - and actively take part in creating a world that works for all!
Working with an extraordinarily accomplished team, we have begun the process of building an unprecedented critical mass of individuals, organizations and coalitions whose efforts to create a caring world will be highly visible and accessible.

We are forming global networks of collaboration between groups and individuals involved with: human rights, ecology and animal concerns, peace and nonviolence, creating ethical economic systems, creating cultures of caring, self-sustaining green communities, personal and societal health and transformation, and many others whose work concerns the interests of literally billions of people and other life on our planet.

One of the ways we are accomplishing this is through the PIF Movement. As you can see from our website (www.aunitedworld.org/pages.asp) we are collaborating with everyone who wants to help make the world a better place. This movement is made up of volunteer mentors that are helping each and every person find their purpose so that they can develop their passion and put their own unique (help others) program into action.

We are encouraging individuals, families, groups and organizations to create their own PIF Program based upon their gift/passion. Everyone has a gift and if they don't know what it is, our volunteer mentors will help. You can view sample programs by going to www.aunitedworld.org/programs.asp

As you can see, the programs can really be anything as long as the person or family or group abides by Character Counts six pillars of character and their program will appeal to 100% of people. The six pillars are trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship. See http://charactercounts.org/pdf/KFC-Pledge.pdf.

Our concept is fairly simple. WTW is giving grants to individuals, families and organizations that want to make a positive difference in other people’s lives. First, an interested party is introduced to their own personal volunteer mentor that will help them (over the internet) develop a program of their own design based upon their personality and talents.

A program can be as simple as a small act of kindness that is performed yearly and conceivably could only take a few minutes once a year. As an example, if a student in a classroom wanted to be in charge of classroom beautification and they brought a flower to the classroom once a year – That qualifies. The truth of the matter is there is nobody currently in charge of classroom beautification so whatever they did like that would be better that what is going on now in this area which is nothing. However, realistically if a student goes to sleep at night and thinks about being in charge of classroom beautification, they will be empowered and create their own ways and ideas beautify the classroom and maybe get their own volunteers to help. The concept is that it has to be a thought before it can manifest. Once a person has the thought that they can make a difference some amazing magical things can happen.

Another simple idea of this movement is giving everyone the opportunity to me a mentor and to have a mentor. The mentor will be mentoring in an area that they feel they can be of benefit to someone else and it does not have to be academics. Their program could be playing a musical instrument, or helping a younger student learn soccer. If a person wanted to start their own mentoring program they may need to raise $50 so that they can receive $45 back in the way of a grant from WTW.

The beauty of this concept is that an individual, family group or organization can apply for a grant and be pre-approved by WTW first. Once they are approved by WTW to have their own WTW, PIF 501 © (3) nonprofit program, they may send their own money into WTWor have a sponsor do it for them. Within a couple weeks after WTW receives the money and the application from the future program director, they will be issued a check for 90% of what WTW received.

It is now the responsibility of the grantee to open up a separate account with that money and track the funds on how that money is spent for their nonprofit program and report this information to WTW. In addition, that program will be able to place a donation form on their free website. All donations will be received by WTW and 90% of the money raised for their program will go back to the director of that program for their program.

Furthermore, WTW does not operate on 10% of the money received; they operate on 9% of the money received because the new program will also have the opportunity to recruit new individuals, families, groups and organizations to start their own PIF program. When this happens they will become the mentor and the new proposed director will be their protégé. The process then starts all over with the new volunteer mentor helping the new entity find their purpose so that they can develop their passion and put their own PIF program into action. That one percent is set aside for the mentor’s nonprofit program and paid in quarterly bonus checks from their performance.
