I Need Valentine's Help

Hi, Peeps.

My computer is due to go in for major surgery tomorrow, so it may pass out on me at any moment.

I have not been able to read and comment on my Peeps' blogs due to the computer whatever that is going on.

Hopefully, after tomorrow that will change.

Since it has been impossible to ignore all the decorations in stores since BEFORE Christmas, Valentine's Day is fast approaching.

Valentine's Day is my favorite holiday. When I taught school, kids would just sit and read their valentine cards, turn red in the face, and fall in love. It was so cute!! They were also quiet.

I have been trying to think of some creative ways of celebrating the Love Day without breaking the bank. Do you have ideas? plans? thoughts? things I can shamelessly copy?

I'd be happy to hear your suggestions.

Heck, my 7 year old is hand making ALL of her classmates Valentines this year. I could get her to whip you up something. ;-)

Maybe a gift card for a couples pedicure?!

Chocolate! Must have chocolate!

Chocolate Ganache

12 oz. semisweet chocolate chips*
1 C. heavy cream
2 tablespoons butter, optional** (no substitutes)
2 tablespoons sugar, optional

Place chocolate in a glass or metal bowl; set aside. Heat heavy cream, butter and sugar in a saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Bring mixture to a boil. Pour boiling mixture over chocolate; cover with plastic wrap. Let stand 5 minutes. Stir until smooth. Serve at room temperature with fruit for dipping.

Check out this post (http://homeschoolcircus.blogspot.com/2008/05/easy-recipe-thursday-birthday-special.html) for a sinfully RICH Flourless Chocolate Cake! (Think half brownie, half moist & rich fudgy cake!) It's wheat and gluten free and reminds me of an awesome cake I had at the Berghoff in Chicago.

PS I finally have a new post up! You won't want to miss this one!

I am so sorry, but I am Gift-Impaired.
Totally boring, thoughtless and creatively challenged.
Hope your computer is fully restored!

Afternoon Everyone!

Oh my gosh, Valentine's Day is coming round again really fast! I just don't know where all the time has gone! Not sure how everyone else feels about February 14th, but I always seem to get really stressed out! I always send my friends a Valentine's Day text message, just to say hi! However I find a text message a bit dull, but I have found a different way to send a greeting which has a much more vibrant, and upbeat feel about it! My friend Lizzy first introduced me to the world of electronic greetings about a year ago when she went back packing around Australia. She said she found it hard to write letters, and she didn't always have a mobile phone signal! So whenever she had the chance she would go into an internet cafe and send an e-Card. This method is such a great way to keep in touch with friends, and family. With Valentine's Day coming up I think it is a good way to just send a little surprise greeting. I have done my research, and tried out loads of different sites, but I have now finally found the best Free Romance e-Card site for me. This site has both romantic, and funny, light hearted Valentine's Day e-Cards, so there is a card to suit everyone! E-Cards are not for everyone, but I think they are definitely worth a try! Just wanted to share my thoughts and findings with you all! Hope you find this useful, Kind regards, Nicole.
