My favorite is apple crostada with yummy vanilla bean ice cream on top that I did not have to cook or pay for in anyway. And there are no kiddos around begging for a bite or crumb nor a hubby screwing up his face at the fact that there are apples in it. Just me and the dessert and bliss, the sweet bliss of a woman and her sugar rush. Oh and if there is caramel involved in any way whatever, just send me on to heaven. Bless my heart!

Now if someone can just deliver that dream to me in real life on Thursday (which is my actual bbirthday) all will be right with the world for one day!

In the meantime you can reach me at mtaylor918@bellsouth.net

Other than the obvious-- dark chocolate, my kiddos, the hubby.

These are a few of my favorite things:

*photos uploaded by my 80's college buddies on facebook

*comments related to above said photos regarding one Greek girl's fabulous 4 years of the mullet

*looking at pre-mentioned photos and wonder what in the world we all were thinking with those 80's clothes, hairstyles and HUMUNGO turtle shell glasses

These things make me laugh like never before. Side splitting gufaw, yee-ha, coke coming out of your nose laughing. The best kind!

my husband loves sanford and son. it's one of his ring tones! i don't love it so much.

what's not my favorite (speaking of ring tones) is that he has brick house for my ring tone (when i call him). i want him to change to to sweet melissa (my real name).

ok my favorite something: reading in the bathtub. haven't dropped a book yet.

My very favorite thing is going shopping with NO CHILDREN and LOTS of the husbands money to spend! I took him shopping with me last week when we were out of town and he talked me out of a great looking purse because, "I can't believe you would spend that for a purse!" So add no husbands to that list also!

Well, if I'm being honest, I have four favorite things, and they are

Kate
William
Henry
Ella

Yah, yah, sappy, I know, but it's true. My sun rises and sets with them, and the hope that I can be a better mother for them each day.

Other faves...well of course the beachymimi blog, ;), the color orange, the smell of lavender, Hokie Football, Christmas.

Hope I win...I really hope I win.

Love Sanford and Son.
Even my kids use that famous line.

I love TV land and all the old reruns.

Favorite thing right now has to be the changing of the season. Fall is almost here. I shut off the A/C and decorated the house with fall flowers and pumpkins. Can't wait to pull out the sweaters and slippers. Watching the leaves turn.
Sitting next to a warm fire with my honey.

That's soemthing I missed living on the gulf coast for four years. Now when February rolls around I will hate it and want to move back. :-)

My favorite saying: "It is what it is." Okay, I'm not necessarily sure that it's my favorite, but it's the one that I say the most often, so I'll go with that.

My favorite song: "Beethoven's Fifth" because the Husband programed his cell phone to play that whenever I call him. Okay, I'm not sure whether I should feel insulted by that, but I love the Husband's sense of humor, so I'll stick with this answer.

Real Things I Love: autumn nights, good coffee and Tongginator kisses.

Favorites: My wonderful husband. Three and half years ago he was in a terrible motorcycle accident and was in the hospital for nearly a year. I call the scars on his head "love taps" from God. I know we hear this all the time, but yall, tell those around you how much you love them everyday. Less than ten minutes after talking to him on the phone and saying I love you...our lives were forever changed. As we look at it now, of course we see all the good that has come of it, but more importantly, we dont take our time with each other for granted. Praise God!

I'm not really a Samford & Son fan. My dad is, though. Huge. Mainly because his dad looked exactly like Fred Samford. Except he was white. He had the same laugh and loved freaking people out by grabbing his chest and yelling,"I'm coming, Elizabeth!" But only if we were in WalMart or the grocery store or any other major public place. This was also the same man who could spit water and in would somehow land on my dog. I swear that spit would turn corners just to get the dog. PawPaw loved it and Buffy hated it. It got so bad that PawPaw would shake his water glass and Buffy would run like a crazy fool to get away. And PawPaw would laugh his danged head off. Memories like that of my grandfather, are some of my favorite things.
And chocolate.
And puppies.
And babies when they get out of the bathtub...
blah blah blah

I read this post this morning and have spent all day trying to decide on what my favoritest favorite is. What resulted was a realization as to how blessed I am to have so many. "Every good and perfect gift is from above..." (James 1:17)

But I decided to share my favorite kind of day: having a softly falling rain outside, cool enough for snuggling up but warm enough to not be freezing, cuddled into my perfect bed, with a great book to read, usually by Miss Agatha Christie or Francine Rivers.

Oh, honey, I know all about your dentist/teeth/smilie troubles, and i am so, so sorry. But the alternative is smoothies and milkshakes for the rest of your life, and no living without a blender, so I am glad for you that you have a trustworthy dentist, even though he did abandon you to gamble.
My favorite thing today is a blue tarp, covering the gaping hole in my breakfast room that Ike left me. It is a very nice thing to have a sunlight in the room now with a soft blue hue shining thru. And it is keeping us dry...so it's a very good thing. Another fav. of mine is decorating and looks like I might get to do a little of this once the roof, attic and ceiling are finished. And I love to shop at Target....so that tells you a little about me.
You are so generous to gift for your b'day celebration. Bless your heart!

This is my favorite story:

My thighs were stolen from me during the night of Aug. 3, 1999. It was just that quick. I went to sleep in my body and woke up with someone else's thighs. The new ones had the texture of cooked oatmeal. Who would have done such a cruel thing to legs that had been wholly, if imperfectly, mine for years? Whose thighs were these? What happened to mine?

I spent the rest of the summer looking for them. I searched, in vain, at pools and beaches, anywhere I might find female limbs exposed. I became obsessed. I had nightmares filled with cellulite and flesh that turns to bumps in the night. Finally, hurt and angry, I resigned myself to living out my life in jeans and Sheer Energy pantyhose.

Then, just when my guard was down, the thieves struck again. My rear end was next. I knew it was the same gang, because they took pains to match my new rear end (although badly attached at least three inches lower than the original) to the thighs they had stuck me with earlier. Now my rear complemented my legs, lump for lump. Frantic, I prayed that long skirts would stay in fashion.

One year ago I realized my arms had been switched. One morning while fixing my hair, I watched, horrified but fascinated, as the flesh of my upper arms swung to and fro with the motion of the hairbrush. This was really getting scary. My body was being replaced, cleverly and fiendishly, one section at a time. In the end, in deepening despair, I gave up my T-shirts.

What could they do to me next? Age? Age had nothing to do with it! Age was supposed to creep up, unnoticed and intangible, something like maturity. NO, I was being attacked, repeatedly and without warning. That's why I've decided to share my story; I can't take on the medical profession by myself.

Women of America, that isn't really "plastic" those surgeons are using. You know where they're getting those replacement parts, don't you? The next time you suspect someone has had a face "lifted," look again! Was it lifted from you? Check out those tummy tucks and buttocks raisings. Look familiar? Are those your eyelids on that movie star? I finally may have found my thighs... and I hope Charlize Theron paid a really good price for them!
